A Chaotic Calmness

A Chaotic Calmness’ is a collection of poems written from the viewpoint of a teenager, trying to navigate his way through the labyrinth of life. The poet puts to word his journey over the past year and a half, with all its highs and lows, and the conflicting emotions which came to the fore while writing this anthology of poems. Stepping into adulthood is never an easy experience. The rose-coloured glasses come off and we realize that the utopian world we dreamt of was never to be a reality. It is as if Pandora’s box has opened a bit too soon for us. However, Hope (Elpis) remains. Amid the heartbreak, death, misery that we face, a silver lining appears. The ‘things of beauty’ that we come across remove the pall of darkness over our soul and break the chains of sorrow and despondence. It helps us realize our worth and shine our light on others.
